ELA and READ Act Programs
We serve as facilitators in matters pertaining to ELA and READ Act services at Yale. The ELA department works to accelerate learning for every APS student by promoting language acquisition through culturally and linguistically responsive practices. The READ program views schools and families as partners to ensure student success in reading. We are responsible for increasing the achievement of ELA and READ Act students by working with small groups and collaborating with teachers to develop an understanding of effective intervention programs, instructional techniques, and issues.
